I Brunched (50 for 50 #31)

What do you after a very busy day?

Wake up late, have a couple of cups of coffee before moving too much.

And then head out in search of brunch. Obviously.

The first place we came across looked great – the big queue outside suggested it was popular. But we were getting hungry now, so opted against waiting and continued our search around the marina area.

On our way to OMD the night before, we’d walked past a couple of restaurants, so we headed back in the same direction optimistically hoping they would be open for Sunday brunch too.

We stopped outside Lolis – we’d been tempted by the tapas menu the previous day.

The sign outside said open for breakfast. There were a few people inside, already happily eating, so we decided this would be the place.

Choosing what to have was a big challenge. I went for the chorizo and avocado stack, Mr T opted for the big breakfast. And we weren’t disappointed. Beautifully presented, tasty and very filling!

Best brunch in a long time – pop in if you’re in the vicinity.

Restored by brunch, we set off for some more exploring, and took the bus round the coast as far as Bracelet Bay. The skies were blue, the clouds were fluffy and the waves were breaking gently on the short. Mr T skimmed a few stones into the sea.

After a while, we walked up and over the hill from Bracelet Bay to Mumbles Pier – squandering our 2 pence pieces in the arcade games for a little while and enjoying the fresh air and views around Swansea Bay. We were in no hurry at all today, but there was ice cream in our future – we headed next to Joe’s.

I love a day that starts with brunch.
