After months of preparation, we did it, we made it from to London to Brighton, completing the 100k Ultra Challenge at just after 3 o’clock in the morning on Sunday.
It was a beautiful day, and we survived relatively unscathed (despite rain, sun and mud). It was definitely worthy of a few days of celebration – cocktails, cake, brunch, Abba and mini-golf all involved.
But it was back down to earth with a bump following the long journey home.
Unpacking to be done. An empty fridge to be restocked.
And three pairs of very muddy trainers to be cleaned.

Definitely back to earth with a bump!
But I did it. They’re clean again.
And ready to be worn again – I managed to parkrun at Hanley on Saturday morning and it didn’t hurt too much!
